PRM: Lengthy Process

I'm really enjoying writing about the Gypsy Coeds, and I keep finding new things out about them every time I sit down to write. However, one tends to get writer's block at this point, I've discovered. I'm getting to a point where I am writing what I know and I will go back to perfect it later. It's funny, but it's like the further I get into this, the more difficult I find it to keep the conversational, simple tone. I almost revert back into academic-speak to form my thoughts--which I never imagined would be the case!
I met once again with the owners of the Silver Streak, John and Carmen Butte. John lent me another picture CD that further uncovers some of the finer details of the girls' later trips that I've been wondering about--what they did during down time, how they spent time on their small side trips, who was where and when. This is the stuff I love uncovering. He also shared with me his draft of the last four chapters of his book which outlines the story of how he came to own the car. It's an interesting (and personal) story that may not appeal to all people, but I found it pretty fascinating how fortuitous John truly was in finding this car.
With Kristan out of town, I really am struggling to stay focused and know where to go from here. She will be back on Thursday, which will be nice, and I will probably bombard her with questions about how my writing is coming along. Hopefully she's pleased with the progress!
