PRM: Writing!

My writing process has now begun for the Gypy Coeds project. I've decided to start with some longer labels that will actually be part of a touch-screen map that allows visitors to find out more details about the girls' trips. I'm writing 4-5 descriptive labels for this map, and I drafted four of them yesterday. I'm constantly keeping in mind my audience and my word count--it's like Serrell is on my shoulder at all times! Kristan has not yet given me feesback on these initial drafts, but I'm hopeful that she wil find them engaging and informative.

I spent much of Wednesday morning separating out the photos and images that I think would be best for the exhibit space. I'm labeling them with where I believe they should go and how they could be used. It's amazing how much I am visualizing the final product already; it's really coming together so quickly!
On Wednesday, I also contacted a local man who was recommended by John as a resource for Model T history. Mr. Dupree will be helping me put together the label on Model T history, and if he is willing, he will record a short (approx. 5 minutes) podcast to be available within the exhibit that will allow our visitors to not only read about the car's history but hear it from a passionate restorer.
John and I have set a meeting date in mid-June so I can update him on my progress with the project. As things are, I think the exhibit is coming along wuite nicely. I am happy to have some of the initial drafts under my belt, and I look forward to hearing Kristan's feedabck regarding them.
