ABOUT
ABOUT ME
I'm currently a Master's student in public history at Loyola University Chicago. My internship and volunteer work has allowed me to learn about various aspects of public history, from oral history to exhibit development to collection management. Additionally, my academic experience has taught me valuable research and writing skills that I hope to use in film and television one day.
WHAT I'VE DONE
My academic work thusfar has provided me with a solid grounding for my various internship experiences. From Capitol Hill to the Milwaukee County Historical Society, I've learned a lot about what working inside a public institution means. My various jobs over the years have also taught me the importance of strong communication skills and working as part of a team.
WHAT I DO
After spending the summer developing an exhibit in Peoria, Illinois, I'm now working as an archival intern at the Evanston History Center in Evanston, Illinois. I am processing a small collection, assisting in the research room, and organizing a web-based exhibit for the Evanston Women's History Project entitled Evanston Women and the 19th.
