PRM: Adjusting

Much of Thursday was spent doing additional research for the Gypsy Coeds project. John, the owner of the vehicle, is also writing a book about these extraordinary young women. After our meeting on Wednesday, he sent me some additional material, includin some chapters from his book, to aid in my research. As it turns out, his discussion of the Ford Model T proved quite sufficient, and I will be able to use a lot of his findings as well as my own to discuss this revolutionary automobile.
I also started reading Virginia Scharff's Taking the Wheel; it will be fantastic source material for the gender and mobility podcast I am creating for the exhibit. I found some other articles via Google and WorldCat that will also help me write this very interesting (and necessary) aspect of the exhibit.
Lastly, I received more great photos from John that will add to the visual appeal of the exhibit. I've continued choosing photos to represent each portion of the exhibit, and Kristan and I met with the marketing team to come up with a "logo" that represents the project. It's all starting to come together; it's hard to believe how fast it goes! I've also come to realize just how much adjusting happens to fit other people's ideas and plans. This week has really opened my eyes to the collaborative nature of exhibit development.
