PRM: Always something new...

In my continuing research of the Gypsy Coeds at the PRM, I found even more interesting tidbits about the girls' trips. My research today mostly focused on the specific activities of each trip, and I began finding more biographical information on each of the seventeen young women who took part on these various trips.
Additionally, Kristan McKinsey, my internship supervisor and the curator of the museum, also provided me with some insight into the deed of gift and accession process for the museum. I learned that PRM uses the system Embark rather than Past Perfect. As Kristan explained, Embark is easier to modify as needed by the institution's needs, and the creators and other users come from the museum field. The support system is extensive, and the program is more intuitive for museum professionals. Kristan plans to give me a more extensive explanation and practical use on the program later in the summer.
The real work on the Gypsy Coeds project will begin tomorrow as I start to write up a project timeline and discuss some of my ideas with PRM's exhibit developer.
